Case Study: Levi Lubarsky & Feigenbaum

Case Study: Levi Lubarsky & Feigenbaum

Project:

Visit site at: www.llf-law.com

Levi Lubarsky & Feigenbaum really needed a new web site. Their previous web site was outdated and was using old technology which made it list and link incorrectly on search engines. We used colors picked by our client and created a new graphical look and feel. The site is simple and yet its design is interesting and presents well. Pages have dynamically-generated printer-friendly versions and we suggested using photos of attorneys to give site visitors a friendlier feeling. Read specific challenges below for more information.

Features:

  • Web Site programming
  • Introduction of printable pages
  • Section reprogramming
  • Addition of photo profiles
  • Centering of entire site
  • Separation of design elements from content
  • Removal of framing mechanism
  • Graphic Design
  • Technology Used:

  • PHP
  • CSS
  • JavaScript
  • HTML
  • DHTML
  • SSI
  • Some Challenges and Solutions:

    Challenge 1:
    To center the entire site.

    Solution 1:
This was a simple process but we had to manually update all existing pages. The newly centered site looks much more professional and this has been incorporated into the dynamic elements of the site.

    Challenge 2:
To separate content from design elements.

    Solution 2:
This is becoming standard practice in web design industry. In order to make web pages easier to update the design elements such as headers, footers and naigation elements are often separated from actual content. We used PHP technology to achieve this goal on this site. It enables the client to make quick and easy global updates throughout the site.

    Challenge 3:
To create prinable versions of all content pages.

    Solution 3:
Rather than creating duplicate pages in a printable format we used PHP technology to dynamically make certain pages pop up in new windows in a priner-friendly format.
